Where Faie Began. Our Story
Faie is named in honor of my great-grandmother, Fay—a cosmetologist whose love for hair care became the foundation of everything we do.
She passed that knowledge down by caring for my grandmother and my mother. While the passion for styling skipped my grandmother, the care never did. My mother carried it forward, learning to care for her own hair, her mother’s hair, and mine.
Some of my earliest memories are of sitting in my Dear’s kitchen, watching and feeling that care firsthand—like my grandmother pressing my hair for Easter Sunday. Those moments stayed with me.
Over time, that same passion grew in me. I had the opportunity to care for the hair of my great-grandmother, my grandmother, and my mother—continuing a cycle that started generations before me.
My journey into formulation began in that same kitchen, using what we had—eggs, mayonnaise, and intention. It was the beginning of my search for hair care that truly delivers results.
As I built my career and opened my own salon, I saw a consistent need—people didn’t just need products, they needed guidance. A simple, effective way to stay consistent with their hair care.
Faie by Dear’s Kitchen was created to meet that need.
